When thinking through a new growth strategy for a client, the best place to start is to get a deep understanding of how their operations, administration, customer service, marketing and sales are working because you are going to put intense pressure on the ENTIRE system.

Some other areas to look at:

  • Do they have a truly active business? 
  • What is the cost per acquisition (CPA)?
    • Do they have a large amount of leads but low conversions and revenue?
  • Do they have a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in place?
  • What is the full status of all of their social media platforms?

If the pieces and the team are there, you can begin to create a strategy to get the business generating revenue.

The Challenge

When two highly respected business owners and Master Photographers ask you to develop a growth strategy for their business concept, you rise to that challenge. However, what happens when you discover alongside them that the business in place is not connecting the way it should for a growth strategy and you have to create something new? You come together to make an amazing business strategy and are lucky enough to have the budget to focus on accelerated growth.

How I Helped

I was able to create a dream mind map and worked closely with the CEO and a CRM expert on pushing the limits of customer relationship management (CRM) tech and automating the sales process of this business. We then began dive into digital marketing programs and the latest marketing automation.

From there, Emotion received a full strategy in which I created a marketing automation program based around a one time buy concept with all add ons sold up front for growth (Phase 2 would create an aftermarket up-selling strategy). If you put that in place with the right trigger, you could learn when your personas buy and sweet ways to personalize an email journey that welcomed, nurtured and sold. The funnel was filled with a beautiful, right-on-point marketing campaign that consists of a website, google display and social media ads and a four channel social media program. And we still have room to maneuver and manipulate more pieces of this business for even more future growth with more automation which means higher profits margins.

The Results

Within six months, we are creating a new business and turning things around. Automated the marketing and most of the human interaction from sales system to bring costs down. And we still have room to maneuver and manipulate more pieces of this business for even more future growth with more automation which means higher profits margins. 

Business launches 3/20. Will have KPIs listed once campaigns are fully executed.
